Gateway Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in India, The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon.
Located outside of Delhi and close to Aravalli Hills, the 20-acre property is described as an ‘urban sanctuary’ surrounded by nature and serene views.
The resort offers 78 rooms, including two suites.
It has an adventure sports complex with activities such as zorbing, rock climbing, balloon bursting and for the youngeons the game spider web, where they use arts and craft to make a giant web.
There’s also a fitness center called ‘Active Studio’, a pool, spa and a sport park.
There’s even room to for a wedding, with a banquet space, which spread over 930-square-metres.
During mealtime, the resort serves regional home-style delicacies as well as international cuisine.
For example, the all-day diner Buzz serves savour contemporary Chinese and Thai cuisine.
And for guests who want to take a walk, the property has access to Damdama Lake, a popular spot for picnics and sight seeing.
Speaking on Getaway’s 25th hotel, Indian Hotels Company chief executive Rahesk Sarna said the property will play a role in boosting local tourism, which is “unmatched in terms of uniqueness, culture and heritage”.

The hotel’s interior architecture was done by Delhi-based firm Rajeev Agarwal Architects who specialize in eco-friendly leisure developments.
