If you’re wondering what a cool US$75,000 per night can buy you, here’s the answer: a night at the most expensive hotel suite in the US, the Penthouse Suite at The Mark Hotel in New York.

For most of us, that kind of money would be enough to put down a house deposit, but if you’re curious what splashing a wild US$75,000 for just one night can buy you, here is an inside look.

At a glance, the suite, curated by renowned French interior designer Jacques Grange, has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a living room, dining area and a rooftop terrace with views of Central Park.

Every room is thoughtfully designed, including one that houses a polished grand piano and reclining chair or the aesthetically pleasing modern library with thick coffee-table style books stacked symmetrically.

One of the bathrooms has a huge bathtub with views over the city. In true opulent style, the bathtub is filled by water cascading from a spout in the ceiling, because why not?

Forget eating out, the giant kitchen has top-of-the-range appliances, a stone-topped central island, and a floor-to-ceiling wine fridge.

Oh, and don’t worry you don’t have to cook for yourself because you’ll have access to 24-hour room service by The Mark Restaurant by three-Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

You can also request the star chef to create an al fresco dining experience on the terrace with an exclusive menu.

If you prefer to dine inside, the dining room is set up ready to host guests, with sparkling crystal glassware and spotless silverware.

If you’re wanting to look the part there is in-suite hair styling by the Frederic Fekkai Salon and personal training sessions on offer by Dan Flores.

If you need a break from your palace, you’re in luck because the room comes with a yacht that can be chartered for free.

If sailing isn’t your thing you also have a private driver who will take you anywhere you want

Believe it or not, this is not the most expensive suite in the world. That honour goes to Royal Penthouse Suite, President Wilson Hotel, Geneva, a 12-bedroom suite with views across Lake Geneva which will set you back US$80,000 per night.
