This is the stuff aviation geeks’ dreams are made of. A former plane has been converted into a quirky Airbnb hotel room for rent.

Set in Le Haut Village, in western France, the hotel, with its quirky aircraft exterior is by no means luxury, but it certainly is original.

The converted hotel which sleeps four will only set you back about $140 Aussie dollars a night and includes a double bed, two single beds, a kitchen and a bathroom.

Those who love aviation will be pleased to know that on top of the exterior being kept authentic, the cockpit is also tact, although funnily enough one of the pilot’s seats is now a toilet! You need to make effective use of the space you have right?

While it mightn’t be flashy, you certainly won’t be roughing it inside with air conditioning, heating, hot water and a tumble dryer at hand.

Holidaymakers can rent the plane thought Airbnb and it currently has 100% five-star reviews.

Its location is also appealing being just minutes from the beaches of Tharon, Pornic and Saint Brévin.

Some of the latest reviews rave about the rare hotel saying “the plane is a unique hideaway – really different and we loved it”.
