As well as demonstrating product and explaining the value proposition of using roomsXML’s superior inventory, the key message for 2016 was “develop and work under one’s own brand rather than depending on someone else’s”.

Managing Director, roomsXML Solutions Limited India, Prakash Bang explained that when consultants are tied to a third party brand, they lack the “flexibility to work as per changing market dynamics”.

“Worst, when the relationship comes to an end, the travel agent needs to go back to the drawing board.

“The better option is to have one’s own brand.”

Bang further added that Travel Agents have the option of not choosing to work with the company’s feed because there’s no binding.

“They can be with us as long as we are competitive and have a service that keeps them happy.”
