AccorHotels has unleashed a sneak peek of the stylish guest rooms in its soon-to-open luxury hotel, Shadow Play by Peppers, in Melbourne’s vibrant Southbank.
The hotel, which is set to open in April 2019, has a bold design by Melbourne architects Elenberg Fraser and with interior decorating by Hecker Guthrie.
Avant garde design features throughout the hotel with a collection of contrasts: light and dark, formal and informal, and dark statement pieces contrasting with white stone and timber.
All apartments are self-contained with natural light and city or bayside views from floor to ceiling windows and balconies.
AccorHotels Chief Operating Officer Pacific Simon McGrath said Southbank was in need of a sophisticated luxury hotel to cater to a global market looking for quality, location and facilities.
Once open, guests will be welcomed to the hotel lobby which flows into the hotel’s Edwin Wine Bar & Cellar which will play host to a seasonal wine program.
The hotel will also feature a heated pool, gym, sauna and steam room, and an enclosed garden space on the 46th floor with a freestanding fireplace, two private dining rooms, a guest lounge and library.
Nestled in the heart of the city, the hotel will be within walking distance to Crown Casino, the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Shadow Play by Peppers is Peppers’ second hotel in Melbourne (following Peppers Docklands, which opened in January 2016).
