Adelaide Airport may be in the early stages of a $165 million makeover, but it’s already inviting flyers to sleepover in a stylish and colourful new hotel called Atura Adelaide Airport Hotel.
The Atura Adelaide opened its doors earlier this month with 165 rooms designed to provide travellers with a place to rest, refuel and unwind before or after their flight.
Described as spacious and contemporary, each room comes with a view of either the city or the airport runway as well as an EVENT dream bed, work zone, 49-inch LCD TB, mini-bars, room service and complimentary wi-fi.
Each guest has complimentary access to a full-service in-hotel gym and the Hangar Bar & Grill, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with menus of pizzas, rib-eye steaks and fresh salads created by Adelaide-born Executive Chef, Thomas Bator.
Giving the property character and a creative edge, renowned architect and interior designer, Nic Graham, has placed one-of-a-kind artwork and accessories around the hotel and used large windows to flood rooms with natural light.
Adelaide Airport’s Managing Director, Mark Young, said the Atura would offer flyers a “real point of difference”, as it’s the only the property in Australia to directly link with the main domestic and international terminals of a capital city gateway.
“Our customers have told us they’re delighted they can now have the convenience of staying overnight to catch early morning flights after meetings or conferences.”
Mark Young, Adelaide Airport Managing Director
