When a speedboat costs more than a lot of us would pay for a house (close to $1.5 million Aussie dollars), you know it must be a pretty spectacular vessel.
That’s the price tag on Istanbul-based Mazu Yachts’ new luxury speedboat, known simply as the 52.
The 52-foot boat which debuted at the Monaco Yacht Show last week is nothing like the speedboats you’re used to seeing.
Here is a snapshot: fine leather seats, a marble bathroom, and a plush master bedroom. And yes we are talking about a speedboat here, not a yacht.
In fact, it was described at the show as an ideal megayacht tender for short trips. You know, for going places your superyacht won’t fit.
The designers themselves say the boat has “distinctive muscular cheeks, rough edges and linear long windows that emphasize a powerful and beasty, yet minimalistic and elegant exterior look.” OH, SEXY.
The boat is ideal for entertaining with a bar and spacious areas for cooking and dining and sunbaking.
The slick master bedroom in the bow has a large bed with leather finishings.
There’s a wardrobe and large shower room with marble and dark wood. Underneath you will also find a generous lounge area.
The 52 can reach speeds of 40 knots or 75 kilometres per hour thanks to two Volvo Penta IPS 800 engines.
