1. Citadines On Bourke Welcomes Happy Hounds

Canines and their companions will be able to experience a New York moment in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, as Citadines on Bourke Melbourne transforms into a dog-friendly retreat, complete with a rooftop courtyard for pups to stretch their legs from up above.

Having recently welcomed four-legged guests to a selection of apartments at Somerset on Elizabeth Melbourne, The Ascott Limited is spreading the doggy joy to their sister property.

To ensure the experience is nothing less than doggy-tastic, four-legged guests will be catered for with a bed fit for the furry traveller, water and food bowls, and a welcome pack including treats, toys and a special gift.

Pups on their first city-break will get a true taste for the high life.

2. Mercure opens in Southern Vietnam

3. COMO Culinary Journeys’ 5-day retreat

COMO Hotels and Resorts has announced a new collection of experiences for 2020, designed to blend the lines between travel and food by combining cooking classes and culinary experiences with relaxing stays at the brand’s luxury portfolio of hotels and resorts.

COMO Culinary Journeys, a series of retreats unique to their respective destinations around the world, will use food as a lens to explore the heritage and culture of a destination.

This February, COMO Culinary Journeys will launch with a five-day culinary retreat at COMO The Treasury in Perth and promises to bring to life the region’s abundant artisanal produce. The inaugural retreat is available to just 10 participants and will offer hands-on cooking classes from Wildflower’s Head Chef Matthew Sartori and visiting chef Giovanni Luca Di Pirro.

The experience will also provide funds to support the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife affected by the Australian bushfire crisis, with 20% of the proceeds donated to WIRES, the Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service.

4. Avani Ibn Battuta Launches in Dubai

5. New 5-star Pullman hotel opens in Rotorua

Accor, New Zealand’s largest hotel operator, has introduced a new level of style and sophistication to the popular North Island destination of Rotorua with the launch of its newest premium hotel, the Pullman Rotorua.

As the first international five-star hotel to open in New Zealand’s popular Bay of Plenty region – a tourism mecca famous for its geothermal attractions – Pullman Rotorua is a dynamic and cosmopolitan hotel targeting high-end domestic and international travellers.

The 130-room hotel offers guests panoramic views of the city and lake area and features a vibrant bar, gym plus an indulgent executive lounge experience.

An official opening ceremony to commemorate Pullman Rotorua’s launch is scheduled to take place in March 2020. Opening rates at the new Pullman Rotorua start from NZ$349 per room per night.
