Recognising resilience: Nominate a travel industry peer for CATO’s International Women’s Day Lunch

The travel industry knows a thing or two about resilience. In recent years, professionals have weathered disruptions, pivoted strategies, and supported one another through immense challenges. Now, the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) is calling on the industry to recognise and celebrate emotional resilience by nominating a deserving peer for a special honour at this year’s CATO International Women’s Day (IWD) Lunch.

Set to take place on Thursday, 6 March 2025, at Q Events, Melbourne, the event is more than just a networking opportunity. It’s a chance to acknowledge the strength, perseverance, and leadership of women in travel who have gone above and beyond in the past year.

Nominate someone extraordinary

CATO is offering 10 complimentary tickets to women in the industry who have demonstrated exceptional emotional resilience. Whether they’ve guided teams through uncertainty, championed change, or led with unwavering strength, these women deserve to be recognised.

To submit a nomination, simply email cato@cato.travel with the following details:

  • Nominee’s name and company
  • Nominator’s name and contact details
  • A short statement (200 words or less) detailing how the nominee has shown emotional resilience in the past year

If selected, both the nominee and the nominator will receive complimentary tickets to attend the event.
