Intrepid Travel has co-signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Centre to support the city’s sustainable goal to become a leading responsible tourism hub in Vietnam and South-East Asia.
Under the MoU, Intrepid Vietnam will collaborate with the city to co-develop responsible tourism products and promote regional experiences beyond the urban centre.
The B Corp will draw on more than 20 years’ local experience and 36 years of global leadership in responsible tourism to help develop and promote eco-conscious itineraries, including national park tours, community-based experiences and nature-based adventures in regions such as Tay Ninh and Con Dao Island.

HCMC is a key gateway for Aussie travellers with more than 420,000 Australians travelling to Vietnam in 2024.
Intrepid hosted more than 70,000 travellers from Australia and New Zealand in Vietnam last year, making the South-East Asian nation one of the tour company’s most popular destinations.
The exclusive agreement marks a strategic investment in one of Asia’s fastest-growing tourism economies, reinforcing Intrepid’s long-standing commitment to Vietnam.

Intrepid Travel Managing Director Asia Natalie Kidd said: “Vietnam was the first destination where Intrepid established a destination management company, so signing this agreement in our 20th year operating in Vietnam is a significant milestone.”
Intrepid Vietnam General Manager Hanh Nguyen said: “Our local knowledge helps us design experiences that are both culturally respectful and commercially impactful.”

“This partnership is a chance to showcase what responsible travel can look like when it’s grounded in local insight, and we’re excited to work with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Centre to welcome more travellers in a way that benefits people and planet.”
Intrepid, Vietnam Airlines and HCMC Tourism will launch a joint campaign in August and September 2025 to promote responsible travel.
