Ironfish helps make dreams come true in Fiji

An incentive trip to Fiji for the high performers of one of Australia’s leading property investment companies, Ironfish Incentive Group, ended up being more than just a fun and relaxing holiday.

An incentive trip to Fiji for the high performers of one of Australia’s leading property investment companies, Ironfish Incentive Group, ended up being more than just a fun and relaxing holiday.

The group visited remote Fijian villages on the Sigatoka River Safari and were so touched by the kindness of the Fijian culture, they donated AUD$2500 to each village to aid them in completing one of their major projects.

Ironfish took 95 employees to Fiji and as part of their incentive trip the group experienced the Sigatoka River Safari.

According to Bree Morris, Business Manager at Ironfish they really wanted to experience true Fijian culture and the Sigatoka River Safari was the perfect way to do that, with the Safari enabling them to visit two remote Fijian villages.

“Visiting Fiji for Ironfish was not just about the opportunity to reward some of our high performing team members by whisking them away to a picturesque location, it was also about immersing ourselves in and experiencing the Fijian culture which we were able to do on the Sigatoka River Safari.”

“One of the things that struck our organisation was the friendly and welcoming nature of the Fijian people, particularly those who go without many of the things that we are lucky enough to take for granted each and every day.” Explains Bree.

This led Ironfish to donate AUD$2500 to each of the villages they visited; Mavua village and Tubairata village, both are using their funds to finish renovations on their beloved village churches.

“We took the opportunity to give something back to the villages we visited, who so openly welcomed us into their homes and their culture and assist them in adding to their village infrastructure so they can continue to raise their families without some of the pressures that money can add. We hope that our gift has assisted the villages in growing their resources as well as preserving the richness of their beautiful culture.” Says Bree.

According to Jay Whyte, Sigatoka River Safari, founder and CEO “Our guests are often quite very moved after visiting the Fijian villages on the tour and Ironfish’s generous donation means so much to the Fijian people as that amount of money can really go a long way for the village.”
