Last October, adventure travel company Explore Worldwide appointed Adventure World Travel as its new General Sales Agent for the Australian market.

It was a poignant partnership with Adventure World the very company that launched Explore into the Aussie market back in 1984.

Explore’s Managing Director Joe Ponte had high hopes for the new representation saying he admired Adventure World’s strong reputation for providing agents with a one-stop shop for adventure travel.

“We will provide the full range of small group trips to complement their own tailor-made, soft-adventure product offering,” he said.

We caught up with Joe during his trip Down Under this month and it turns out he was right to be optimistic.

“Adventure World has been doing a great job. We had triple-digit growth in June in Australia.”

This includes Explore Worldwide introducing its dedicated Walking & Trekking, Cycling and Family range to the local market for the first time, complementing its extensive Worldwide Discovery trips.

In terms of rewards for Australian agents who sell explore they have a famil coming up this October. Watch this space for more details about where the trip is headed.

“We want to get as many agents on to Explore trips as possible,” Joe told us.
