Want to join one of the biggest Disney travel industry celebrations ever? Disney Destinations has announced it will be hosting a Disneyland mega-famil in March to mark Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary this year.
Commencing 27 January, Disney will begin rolling out new experiences, entertainment and more at Disneyland Resort California as part of Disney 100 Years of Wonder (Disney100). And 100 Australian and New Zealand travel advisors and partners will be able to get among the celebrations.
Running from 14 to 18 March, Disney Destinations says the mega-famil will be a way of saying thank you to its valued trade partners, who have helped it create magic for countless guests over the years.
It also believes the trip will create a buzz within the travel industry and help “bring the magic of travel and famils back once again”.
The incentive will run from 20 January to 27 February.
With Australia and also New Zealand key markets for Disneyland Resort California, Disney Destinations says the main purpose of the famil will be to “inspire, excite and educate agents” on all of the Californian theme park’s offerings.
Among these will be attractions that might still be new to the Aussie and Kiwi markets like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Avengers Campus.
“Our aim is to have these agents and sales partners experience the magic first hand, to then return to the market to inspire their customers to join in the celebrations,” Disney Destinations said upon announcing the famil, which has been put together with the help of United Airlines and Visit Anaheim.
How to join the party
Australian and New Zealand travel advisors can earn a spot on the trip by selling Disneyland Resort tickets and United Airlines flights or by submitting a “Magical Moment” customer impact story that showcases how an advisor has gone above and beyond for a client or simply lent a hand to someone when they have really needed them.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime magical opportunity to join the Disney100 celebrations at Disneyland Resort California,” Disney Destinations Director of Travel and Business Development APAC Andrea Robinson said.
“It’s time to bring the fun and the magic back to the travel industry, and we can’t wait to celebrate with 100 travel partners at The Happiest Place on Earth.”
