1. Couples save in Italy

Albatross Tours

Albatross Tours is offering couples up to $600 off if they book and put a deposit down on an 18-day ‘The Italian Grande’ before 15 January 2015.

The escorted tour takes small groups of travellers to the Italian Lake District, The Dolomites, Tuscany, Umbria and the Amalfi Coast.

They’ll also enjoy numerous excursions such as a visit to the traditional mountain village of Macugnaga and the medieval city of Lucca.

The itinerary is priced from $6,589 per person twin share when booked by 15 January 2015. The office is available on departures between April and October 2015.

 

2. Greece, Turkey adventure

Adventure World is offering a saving of up to $400 per person on select 10-day ‘Jewels of Turkey & Greece’ itineraries departing in 2015.

The offer is valid on need bookings made between 26 December 2014 and 9 January 2015 for departure between 13 April and 26 October next year.

The itinerary includes a three-night Greek Islands cruise; a visit to the Monastery of St John and the ruins of the Palace of Knossos; and a tour of the ancient city of Ephesus.

Priced $2,029 per person, twin share the package covers accommodation, three-night Greek Island cruise, sightseeing as per itinerary, domestic flight from Istanbul to Izmir and transport.

 

2. SAA fare sale

South African Airways

Your clients can travel to South Africa in economy for as little as $1,413 per person including taxes.

The new fares are available for travel from September next year until the end of November 2015.

For economy travel from Adelaide to Johannesburg passengers will pay from $1,413; Brisbane $1,416; $1,421; and $1,422.

Return business class fares including taxes from Adelaide to Johannesburg start from $4,633; Brisbane $4,636; Melbourne $4,640; and $4,662.

 

4. Children train it for free

Train travel is becoming more cost-effective, with Rail Plus allowing children up to 11 years of age to travel free on all Eurail passes in 2015.

Children – defined as those passengers aged between four and 11 – currently pay a percentage of the full adult rate. However, they will now travel free of charge on all Eurail Select, Regional, One Country and Global passes issued from 1 January 2015*.

Also new in 2015 is the introduction of a First Class travel option for Eurail Youth Pass holders.

Previously holders of a Eurail Select, Global, Regional or One Country Youth Pass were restricted to travelling in Second Class.

 

5. ReadySetSail savings!

Holland America has launched a new ReadySetSail promotion that enables guests to take advantage of special offers, including an onboard spending credit for suite guests that can be put toward a variety of shipboard experiences.

ReadySetSail offers are available on select 2015 summer sailings and feature savings for multiple destinations, so guests are encouraged to book early for the best stateroom selection.

Guests who book cruises or an Alaska Land+Sea Journey (offers on cruise portion only) with the ReadySetSail promotion will receive a complimentary stateroom upgrade from an interior to ocean-view or ocean-view to verandah stateroom, reduced fares on select shore excursions when booked before March 15, 2015, reduced cruise fares for third and fourth guests, and a reduction of 50 percent off the normal deposit rate.

With complimentary upgrades, guests can sail in an ocean-view stateroom for the price of an interior or receive a free upgrade to a verandah when purchasing an ocean-view.

Suite bookings also receive a US$300 onboard spending credit per stateroom (US$150 per person), a complimentary three-bottle Wine Navigator Package and two free soft drink cards per stateroom, in addition to the other ReadySetSail offers.

Cruise destinations featured in the ReadySetSail promotion include Alaska cruises and Land+Sea Journeys, Bermuda, Canada/New England and Europe.

 

6. Special fares with Emirates

Emirates has launched end of year special airfares to 37 destinations in Europe and the UK. To launch the offer, return Economy fares to Dublin start at just $1,601 and $7,066 in Business class.

Economy airfares to Madrid start from $1,624, Amsterdam and Milan from $1,625, Rome from $1,637, Athens from $1,646, Paris from $1,663, Frankfurt from $1,710 and London from $1,796.

Business Class airfares to Madrid begin from $7,086, $7,109 to Athens, $7,188 to Paris and $7,403 to London.

Bookings must be complete by the 23 December 2014. Special fares are available for travel between 1st March and 30th November 2015 for Business class and 1st March and 30th September 2015 for Economy class and fare levels vary during this period.

 

7. 20% off Best Western

Best Western

Best Western has launched a 20 percent off deal to give travellers more ways to save on their accommodation at over 170 hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

From now through to 24 December, guests who book two or more nights on the ‘20% Off and 1000 Rewards Points’ rate at bestwestern.com.au/savings will receive a 20 percent discount off the price of their accommodation. They’ll also earn 1,000 bonus Best Western Rewards points to spend at over 4,000 Best Western hotels worldwide.

Deals start from $89 per night in Melbourne and $103 in Brisbane after the discount.

 

8. Fly free* to Canada & Alaska.

Scenic Tours Alaska

Scenic Tours has extended its 2015 Canada, Alaska and USA fly free season by two months, until 31 January 2015.

Agents can save their clients up to $4,860 per couple with free return flights to Canada (just pay taxes from $860 per person) on 2015 bookings made by 31 January 2015.

 

9. $50 back with American Express and TripAdvisor

American Express

American Express is offering travellers that connect their card with TripAdvisor and spend more than $150 with American Express Travel $50 back until 31 January 2015.

To take advantage of the offer, American Express Card Members simply need to:

1.      Log onto TripAdvisor and connect their American Express Card
2.      Find the American Express Travel offer within the ‘Get Offers’ tab of their TripAdvisor account and select ‘Save to Card’
3.      Then either click ‘Book online’ or visit AmericanExpress.com.au/travel and spend $150 or more on eligible prepaid hotels, car hire and experiences using their American Express Card before midnight on 31 January 2015.
