Over at helloworld’s competitor, Flight Centre, the agency group’s MD Graham Turner revealed the company is in the market to buy five new companies.

Keeping tight lipped about which business Flight Centre is in negotiations with, Turner said he expects the purchases could cost up to $50 million.

The 40th anniversary celebrations will continue throughout October and November.

In the airline industry, Cathay Pacific revealed it would increase operations out of Australia with an additional flight to and from Adelaide.

The move will see the airline increase its capacity on the Hong Kong to Adelaide route by 52 percent, bringing the total number of seats up to 2,500 per week.

Virgin Australia
