Shout to the best part of the week – THE WEEKEND! Before you slip into weekend mode check out our wrap of this week’s top news stories.
This week started off a little rough with news of a commercial aircraft crashing in Egypt’s mountainous region of Sinai.
All 224 people on board were killed including 25 children.
Officials are trying to determine the cause of the crash and are looking into claims that a bomb was on the aircraft.
In the meantime, airlines have redirected aircraft to avoid flying over the area.
On a different note, Qantas made a whole lot of Kiwis happy this week when its staff wore All Blacks jersey on a flight across the Tasman.
The jerseys were worn after the Flying Kangaroo lost a wager with Air New Zealand over the Rugby World Cup (RWC).
While Qantas made passengers happy, The Travel Corporation (TTC) lit a fire under agents this week when it revealed an incredible $1 million incentive.
Running for six months, the incentive will see agents go in the running to win a portion of the cash with most TTC bookings. Click here for more details.
Totally drooling over this picture! This incredible looking (and tasting) dessert helped the Spicers Peak Lodge win Best Culinary Boutique Hotel in Australasia. Click here for more info.
This weekend we’re giving you the chance to WIN $360 worth of travel essentials as well as three entertaining Lonely Planet Kids books.
Have a great weekend, rest up and see you next week.
