Here’s to the best part of the week – THE WEEKEND! In case you missed something, here’s a brief recap of this week’s top news stories.
Welcome the final month of the year, there’s only 19 days ’till Christmas. I know what I want this year (*cough* Chris Evans), what about you?
I’m getting ahead of myself, the first week of the final month of the year kicked off on a high as Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas made her debut in Australia.
The ship was accompanied by her sister, Voyager of the Seas, making it the first time two ships of their size were in the same location at the same time in Sydney Harbour.
During their joint visit, the pair delivered some 10,000 people to Sydney, making it a historic day not just for Royal Caribbean but Sydney tourism.
Things only went up from there, when airfares to the US fell to around the $1,000 mark.
All that extra competition between Qantas, Air New Zealand, United Airlines and American Airlines is really paying off for the Australian traveller.
If the cheap fares aren’t enough to get your clients to book, then you might like to tell them about a study that found travel costs will rise in 2016 – eek.
As the week progressed, we discovered which airline is set to continue to lead the way next year. Can you guess? (Did the picture give it away?) For the third time running it was Air New Zealand.
According to AirlineRatings.com, the carrier won because of its innovation, customer service and clean flying.
