Air New Zealand is getting a new Chief Executive Officer with Walmart’s US boss Greg Foran stepping into the role from the first quarter of 2020.
Greg is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart US and is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the company’s 4,600 stores and more than 1 million staff.
Last year Walmart US served more than 160 million customers a week and had revenues of US$307 billion.
He joined Walmart International in 2011 where he served in a number of capacities, including as President and CEO of Walmart China and then President and CEO of Walmart Asia up until he assumed his current role.
Before joining Walmart, Greg held a number of positions with Woolworths in Australia and New Zealand.
