Change is in the air at TTC, with Alex O’Conner relocating back to New Zealand and Karen Deveson being promoted to Managing Director of Insight Vacations & Luxury Gold Australia.
Alex O’Connor, Managing Director Australia for Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold, has tendered her resignation in order to relocate back to New Zealand.
Ulla Hefel Böhler, CEO of Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold, commented, “We thank Alex for her leadership and many contributions in leading Insight Vacations & Luxury Gold Australia these past four years. Winning the Escorted Touring Company of the Year at the 2019 Travel Awards and being an NTIA Finalist for Best Tour Operator – International for each of the past 4 years is a testament to Alex and the entire Australian team. We will miss her and wish her and her family the very best as they settle back into life in New Zealand.”

Karen Deveson & Alex O’Connor
Hefel Böhler is proud to announce the internal promotion of Karen Deveson as the new Managing Director for Insight Vacations & Luxury Gold Australia, effective May 1, 2020. Karen is currently Head of Marketing for Insight Vacations & Luxury Gold, having commenced with the company over three years ago.
Hefel Böhler added, “We are thrilled to promote Karen into this key leadership role. Karen is immensely talented and has contributed significantly to the performance of our business over her tenure. Karen Deveson
Deveson has over 20 years’ experience across the media, research, marketing and tourism sectors. Prior to her current role, she held positions as the General Manager of Publishing at Seven West Media, Director Corporate Marketing ACP (now Bauer Media) and co-founded the boutique brand and research consultancy, Sycamore.
Deveson has a genuine passion for understanding consumer behaviour and the motivation behind consumer decisions. She had led both local and international business and brand transformations to extract new revenue opportunities within mature businesses.
