LICENCE TO LUXURY: Inside the US$72m mega-yacht inspired by James Bond

It's the way any international man or (now) woman of mystery would cruise around the world & you can do it - so long as you're as financed & connected as James Bond.

It’s the way any international man or (now) woman of mystery would cruise around the world & you can do it – so long as you’re as financed & connected as James Bond.

U.S. entrepreneur John Staluppi expanded his James Bond-inspired fleet of mega-yachts late last year, with the launch of a US$72 million vessel that’ll leave you both drooling and desperately wishing for a career as a British Secret Service Agent (minus the danger).

Built by Italian yacht builder Benetti Yachts, the newest addition to the entrepreneur’s Millennium Super Yachts was named after the 2015 Bond film Spectre, to deliver luxury and “the same emotions… as a motorcar on the racetrack”.

And according to a series of pictures recently shared by The Daily Mail, it may just exceed on all of the above.

Inside the bold and beautiful (bet the Forresters would love it) yacht that millionaire vacations are made of, there’s natural lighting supplied by large panoramic windows and a sophisticated combination of dark wood and cream furnishings.

There’s a spiral staircase on which one can picture Bond casually strolling down with a shaken Martini, as well as a cylindrical glass lift (for the days he’s recovering from workplace injuries).

Each of the six guest bedrooms have a skylight (because seeing the stars at night is the only way the ladies man can get to sleep – we imagine), while the master suite has an outdoor hot tub and deck space.

Also on board the James Bond-inspired yacht are two dining areas (one indoor, the other outdoor), a grand piano, spa area, gym, swimming pool, and a film and music server with 2,800 movie options (no doubt this includes the 007 collection).
