It’s only one month to go until AirAsia begins its new direct flights from Perth to Lombok. Ahead of the launch, AirAsia has opened a new hub on the Indonesian island’s West Nusa Tenggara province.

AirAsia’s Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Dendy Kurniawan said when officiating the hub that it would play a big role in seeing “all-round growth on the island” which suffered from multiple earthquakes last year.

The hub is part of ongoing efforts to support the Indonesian government and the Tourism Ministry’s initiative to develop Lombok as one of “10 new Balis”.
