Journey Beyond’s annual Sales and Marketing conference, which featured a host of industry expert speakers, wrapped up last week, leaving attendees buzzing with excitement and brimming with inspiration for 2025 and beyond.
Hosted at the Adelaide Marriott Hotel over three engaging days, the event brought together talent from across the company, including the leadership teams of Sales, Marketing, Product, and the Travel Centre.
The conference also featured an impressive lineup of industry speakers who donated their time, shared their expertise, and challenged the teams to push boundaries. Australian restaurateur and chef Luke Mangan highlighted the intersection of food, travel, and unforgettable guest experiences. Rob Dougan from Tourism Australia brought fresh insights into the nation’s evolving tourism landscape. Adam Schwab, CEO of Luxury Escapes, shared strategies for adapting to shifting customer expectations in the high-end travel space.

Adding to the inspiring roster, James Thornton, CEO of Intrepid Travel, discussed the importance of sustainable practices and meaningful travel experiences. Emma H. from House of Fine Wine explored the synergy between premium culinary offerings and elevated guest experiences, and Kerrie McCallum from News Corp Australia presented a thought-provoking session on storytelling and brand-building in a competitive market.
All of the speakers brought diverse perspectives, yet all shared a standard message: think beyond the ordinary, embrace innovation, and stay bold in the pursuit of excellence.
Collaboration and Creativity at the Forefront

Over the three days, 60 of Journey Beyond’s Sales, Product and Marketing colleagues from across Australia and New Zealand participated in interactive workshops, team-building activities, and future-focused discussions that energised everyone involved.
