Australia is a country painted with a vivid rainbow of colours and enriched with unique and exotic sounds that dazzle every sense. Now you can experience it for yourself through Tourism Australia’s new series of videos that take you on an immersive journey through Oz in 8D audio.

Tourism Australia says there’s ‘no better form of natural medicine than the influence of colour and sound coming together in harmony, helping us to reconnect with the world around us.’

With this thought in mind, they’ve created a video series recorded with 8D sound; an audio effect that creates the illusion of hearing sounds from all around as if you’re experiencing them firsthand.

The gorgeous video series encourages international and local audiences to keep dreaming of all of the experiences awaiting them when they are able to travel to and around Australia again.

Choose your colour and let these 8D mini-escapes reawaken your senses.

What is 8D sound?

8D audio is a sound engineering treatment that makes the music and effects sound like they are coming from different places. This creates an immersive experience and viewers should wear headphones for maximum effect.

Think extreme cinema sound! It has to be seen and heard to be believed as it’s SO good.

The six videos are themed by colour – blue, red, magenta, green, black and white – to evoke a range of feelings and emotions and showcase the visual diversity found in Australia.

To fully experience the 8D audio effect, listen with your headphones on.

Sit back, click play, and prepare to be immersed in a journey around Australia.
