A new adults-only boutique resort in Queensland’s Mission Beach is now open – Nala Resort offers an experience-led retreat between the rainforest and the reef with a focus on adventure, wellness and culinary activities.
The independently owned and operated Nala Resort is purpose-built to appeal to couples and leisure travellers seeking smaller-scale, high-quality stays on the Cassowary Coast and is within walking distance of Mission Beach town.
Exclusive to guests aged 18 and over, Nala is particularly suited to honeymooners, couples, special-interest travellers and those seeking pre- or post-tour relaxation within an itinerary.

The TNQ resort combines contemporary tropical design with natural tones and materials, offering privacy, space and a calm alternative to traditional resort or family-focused accommodation.
It also features a destination restaurant and bar, outdoor pool and in-room treatments, allowing trade partners to package Nala as part of a broader Tropical North Queensland itinerary.

With a limited number of guestrooms, the 10-room property is positioned to support longer overnight stays, aligning with evolving travel trade demand for differentiated, value-led product.

Nala Resort Co-Founder Ben Davidson said the property is now open to trade enquiries and is best suited for luxury self-drive, honeymoon and tailored TNQ itineraries from Cairns Airport.

“Nala was designed to complement, not compete with, larger resort offerings in the region. We saw a gap in the market for a refined, small-scale property that supports higher-value travel and provides agents with a product that feels genuine and distinctive,” he said.
