LATAM Airlines Group announced today that it will introduce its superior cabin class, Premium Economy, to all national and international flights within Latin America operated by Airbus A320 family aircraft.

From March 16 2020, LATAM will be the only carrier to offer a premium service across its entire network of 145 destinations in 26 countries and five continents, with Premium Economy available on short-/medium-haul aircraft (Airbus A320 family) and Premium Business on long-haul aircraft (Boeing 787, 777, 767 and Airbus A350).

The cabin class offers premium services both at the airport and in-flight, including priority check-in and boarding, differentiated onboard service and a blocked-middle seat, providing greater space and privacy.

Once implemented, LATAM will offer two cabins classes on flights operated by short-/medium-haul aircraft: Premium Economy and Economy. Passengers in Economy will also continue to have the option to select LATAM+ Seats – offering increased space and reserved overhead bins – on most flights.

“Our goal is to continue being the first choice for customers in Latin America, and today we are launching Premium Economy, one of the most radical changes in terms of travel experience in LATAM’s history,” said Paulo Miranda, Chief Customer Officer, LATAM Airlines Group. “As part of our commitment to offering more options, flexibility and personalisation to serve all journey types, the introduction of Premium Economy will provide the possibility to choose a superior service on all our flights.”

“We’re excited that LATAM’s Australian and New Zealand passengers will be able to experience superior service while connecting to their final destination within Latin America,”

Valeria Alvano, Regional General Manager, Oceania, LATAM Airlines Group.
