WHY MARGARET RIVER?
“It’s on the travel wish lists of many travellers.”
Margaret River was selected, according to Jetstar Group Chief Executive Gareth Evans, because of its popularity among Australian holidaymakers.
In return, he also believes the new route will open the possibility of a mini-break on the east coast for West Australians.
“We’re really proud to be the only scheduled airline to fly directly to this region.”
Gareth Evans, Jetstar Group Chief Executive
HOW OFTEN WILL THE NEW SERVICE FLY?
When the new route takes off early next year, it will operate three times weekly between the two destinations.
HOW MUCH TRAVEL TIME WILL IT SAVE?
At least three hours!
Evans said the direct flight will cut the three-hour drive time from Perth Airport, “putting the destination within easy reach for a short break away”.
WHICH AIRCRAFT WILL THE AIRLINE USE?
Jetstar will utilise its signature A320 aircraft equipped with 180 seats in Economy Class.
HOW MUCH ARE FLIGHTS SELLING FOR?
To celebrate the launch, Jetstar is offering customers fares from $89 one way in a five-day sale.
The sale started on Friday last week, so technically there’s like two days left to take advantage of the offer.
