NOT YOUR BIZ: Scoot renames its premium cabin & offers free wi-fi

Don't call me ScootBiz, I'm not your ScootBiz. I'm your ScootPlus. The budget carrier has renamed its premium inflight cabin to something that better describes the slightly modified experience.

Don’t call me ScootBiz, I’m not your ScootBiz. I’m your ScootPlus. The budget carrier has renamed its premium inflight cabin to something that better describes the slightly modified experience.

As of 2 September 2019, the title ‘ScootPlus’ will replace ‘ScootBiz’ online and in GDS systems for the premium cabin on all of Scoot’s Dreamliner flights to and from Australia (and various other destinations).

WHAT’S WITH THE NEW NAME?

New name for a new experience.

Following a study on social media late last year, Scoot has made changes to the premium cabin including the removal of ScootTV in favour of inflight Wi-Fi. This is because some 80 percent of customers said they’d prefer wi-fi over inflight entertainment.

ScootPlus guests will receive 30MB of complimentary onboard internet.

On a product front, customers will continue to receive wider, leather reclining seats, a footrest, twice the legroom as economy and in-seat power. There’s also 30kg of check-in baggage allowance plus 15kg of carry-on.

On the ground, ScootPlus guests will also continue to receive priority check-in and boarding.
