The countdown is officially over: the National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA 2025) are here, and Brisbane is ready to shine.
On Saturday night, The Star Brisbane will host the travel industry’s ultimate celebration, bringing together the best in the business for an unforgettable night of connection, recognition and revelry at the awards gala.
But as is now tradition, the magic starts well before the main event.
Big ideas at Beyond Borders
Kicking off the two-day celebration on Friday, ATIA’s Beyond Borders summit returns to The Star with a packed line-up of thought leaders, innovators and industry changemakers.
This year, the program offers delegates a front-row seat to fresh insights on technology, regenerative tourism and the future of travel, as well as updates from the ATIA board and leadership team.
In its second year, Beyond Borders is a day designed to inspire, and as ATIA CEO Dean Long says, to help travel businesses thrive in an evolving landscape.
Finalists, fun and Friday feels
Once the seriousness of Beyond Borders wraps up, it’s time to celebrate.
The NTIA finalists party takes over The Star’s Leisure Deck on Friday night, giving this year’s contenders a chance to mix, mingle and raise a glass ahead of the main event.
With Singapore Airlines back as the major sponsor, NTIA 2025 will honour excellence across 38 categories, recognising everyone from frontline agents and tour operators to cruise lines, wholesalers and tourism bodies.
One of the most anticipated moments is the People’s Choice Award, where Aussie travellers themselves have voted for their favourite accredited travel agent, tour operator and cruise operator – a powerful reminder of the trust and connection that drives this industry.
Glitz and gala bits
Before the spotlight hits the main stage, the celebrations kick off in true Karryon style with Karryon’s Glam Club, the official pre-party where the industry’s most fabulous gather to get red-carpet ready.
Then, on Saturday night, the NTIA 2025 Gala takes over The Star Brisbane, emceed by television journalist Shelly Horton.
Guests can expect an elegant dinner, top-tier entertainment and, of course, plenty of sparkle as the night’s biggest achievers are crowned.
