One small step in a giant leap: Magellan Travel begins rebranding

The first step in a “significant rebranding” initiative, Magellan Travel has unveiled a reimagined logo.

As Magellan aims to refresh and boost its overall brand image, the travel consortium says the new logo is “bold, striking, and designed to capture attention”.

The rebranding exercise also looks to leverage Magellan’s ties with travel agency giant Helloworld Travel, which acquired the group in 2018.

Magellan Travel General Manager Andre Moten said members’ input played a vital role in the rebranding.

“We’ve been working diligently to re-evaluate and establish a new, inimitable value proposition based on valuable feedback from our members,” he said.

“This unveiling is the first step in delivering on that promise.

“We are excited about the journey ahead as we continue to align ourselves with the evolving needs and expectations of our members, and their customers.”

Re-engaging

New National Business Manager Kellie Stanbury echoed Moten’s comments, saying the new logo “marks the beginning of a revitalising phase, signalling our commitment to engage members and foster collective growth”.

“I look forward to being part of this transformative journey,” said Stanbury, who was thrilled to join the Magellan Travel family during an “extremely exciting time”.

Magellan Communications and Product Manager Monica Godfrey also praised the collective contribution towards the rebranding.

“Having been a part of many changes at Magellan over the years, it’s gratifying to see this revitalisation period born from listening to member feedback,” she said.

“It has always been this open feedback channel that sets Magellan apart from other consortia, and I believe this will further strengthen and grow our group.”

Just like the new logo is the first step in Magellan’s rebrand, rebranding is the first step in a larger journey to revitalise the whole network.

Key to this, according to the group, is Magellan’s commitment to reengaging with members and collective growth.

Created in 2008, Magellan Travel is a group of Australian independent travel agents that aims to marry the benefits of a niche organisation with the resources of a major industry player like Helloworld.
