You'll never lose your bags again with this suitcase

Now this is one smart suitcase. Not only does the FLOATTI case weigh itself, have a built in charger, and feature a high-tech security alarm, but it also TEXTS you when it arrives at the luggage carousal.

You may never lose your bags again, thanks to the FLOATTI.

The FLOATTI case, which was recently launched on Kickstarter – so far accumulating over $175,000 in funding – is the “World’s First Super Suitcase,” allowing travellers for the first time to control their smart phone straight from the suitcase’s handle.

With the Smart Handle, travellers can make and receive calls, receive notifications and play/change music tracks.

Not only that, but the Super Suitcase also features an advanced GPS tracking system that alerts you when your suitcase is too far away from you, and when it finally arrives at the baggage claim.

Other features of the FLOATTI Super Suitcase – which is available in black, red, cream or navy and comes in both cabin and hand luggage sizes – include a handbag docking system, a world’s first suspension system, detachable chargers for your phone or laptop, and a built-in scale.

The design of the FLOATTI seeks to address many of the problems travellers are having with their suitcases:

“We spent an extensive amount of time studying how people use their suitcase and the problems they have. Floatti is a collection of answers that we engineered to solve these problems.”

Andrea Ponti, Floatti industrial designer speaking to Daily Mail

“Our suitcase is beautiful, smart and extremely functional – combining superior materials, innovative functions and a unique style.”

The FLOATTI also features an intelligent packing system, and is made from genuine leather, scratch-resistant coated-poly-carbonate and aircraft grade aluminium.

True, it may not be as fun as the Modobag – the world’s first rideable suitcase:

Or be able to charge your devices using kinetic energy.

But the FLOATTI is definitely giving us a real case of #suitcase envy.

It makes all over suitcases out there look very dumb indeed.

Will you be getting a FLOATTI Super Suitcase when it’s finally released into the market?
