Over the next few weeks agents will see new features added to the Travelport Smartpoint, including tools to help search and sell hotel and car rentals.
The upgraded travel commerce platform, now allows agents to access property and vehicle images, comparisons and maps within the Smartpoint screen.
Hotel ratings and reviews from TripAdvisor have also been added, as well as a new system that allows agents to generate quotes and email them to their clients directly from the program.
Consultants can set up alerts that remind them to consider hotel and car options when bookings customers for an overnight stay. And the PNR history has been improved so agents can offer more personalised service.
The latest version also includes Travelport’s ‘compare and sell’ airline products and services feature, which includes over 80 airlines.
The company’s managing director of global sales said updates offer faster workflow and improved functionality for increased productivity and profitability.
