Brand USA’s new online agent training platform, the USA Discovery Program, has been well received by the travel trade.
Tegan McCarthy, travel consultant at We Know Travel, completed the Regional Expert badge and the first eight experience badges, and has won a coveted spot on the Brand USA and Qantas MegaFam this November.
McCarthy will be joined by 51 other leading travel agents who will experience five different itineraries showcasing the best of U.S. live entertainment in five different destinations: Utah, Denver, Washington DC and New York, Memphis and Nashville, and a mystery destination . Tegan has chosen to participate in the Memphis and Nashville itinerary.
“I was really excited to hear I had won a spot on the MegaFam. I was particularly happy as it has a live entertainment theme – being a musician myself, most of my trips revolve around places I can see live music and the U.S. is a definite favourite.”

Just one month after the launch of the USA Discovery Program, over 80 agents across Australia have completed the Regional Expert badge.

The USA Discovery Program, found online at www.usadiscoveryprogram.com.au provides agents with straightforward information on the U.S., broken down into regions, experiences and holiday themes, to provide a holistic overview of the USA and to enable cross-selling on all aspects of sales to the USA.
The online course gives agents complete flexibility to complete the training in their own time, at their own pace. All of the training is bite-sized with quizzes broken down into different modules such as regions or experiences. After the agent passes a set of quizzes, they will be considered a USA specialist in that area and earn a badge of recognition for that area of expertise.
