Trafalgar has just announced three new African itineraries for 2020 following on from the success of their inaugural departures to the continent last year.

For Trafalgar, Africa holds particular significance as the home of the Tollman Family (owners of Trafalgar as part of The Travel Corporation).

With generations of the Tollman’s being born and raised in Africa, the 11 itineraries across 9 countries have been curated with family memories and connections front and centre.

As part of the new itineraries for 2020, guests will connect with locals alongside family friend, Stefan, on Cape Town Explorer who will treat them to a delicious Be My Guest traditional braai (barbecue).

Guests will Dive into Culture on the Namibia Adventure, learning about the traditions of the OvaHimba tribe, considered to be the last semi-nomadic people of Namibia.

Overnights to remember will also include a Stays with Stories at the 5* Oyster Box, South Africa’s #1 hotel.

Guests can also make a difference on four JoinTrafalgar experiences including visitng the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust on Wonders of Kenya to learn about the acclaimed Orphan’s Project, providing hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations.

“For me, it’s hard to describe in words what it is about Africa that penetrates one’s spirit,” says Gavin Tollman, Trafalgar’s CEO.

“As the AgentsFirst brand, we want to ensure our agent partners can sell with confidence that Trafalgar is the right choice for customers,” he said.

“The level of personalisation and family love we have put into these trips is unmatchable, and we guarantee that guests will leave with an understanding and passion for Africa in the same way that we feel.”
