Perth Airport to welcome its first airport hotel… here are the details

It’s hard to believe that Perth Airport (PER) – Australia’s fourth busiest hub – doesn’t have an onsite airport hotel. But that’s all about to change. In 2027, PER is expected to open the first hotel on its estate – the Pullman Perth Airport.

The Western Australian gateway has partnered with Accor, Australia’s largest hotel operator, on the Pullman Hotels & Resorts property, which will feature 240 rooms and suites across eight floors.

The future hotel will also boast a rooftop restaurant and bar, lobby café, meeting facilities and co-working spaces.

Accor says guests can expect a “state-of-the-art” property – and looking at renderings of the exterior of the hotel, it indeed looks sleek. But the design, led by DKO Architecture, mostly draws inspiration from WA’s natural beauty, which in turn aims to provide a warm welcome to visitors to the city and state.

“We are delighted to be partnering with world-leading hospitality group, Accor, to deliver our first hotel,” Perth Airport Chief Property Officer Dan Sweet said.

“The new Pullman Perth Airport hotel will be a world-class facility located at the front door to our major terminals. It will make it even more convenient for international and interstate visitors, providing a place to stay and relax during connections.

“Pullman, along with its parent company Accor, are both well-known and respected global hospitality brands. Their expertise and experience will ensure a fantastic new accommodation offering debuts in Perth, particularly for those transiting through the airport.”

Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer PM&E Division, Adrian Williams, said that expanding the airport hotel network shows how airport areas are becoming key commercial centres.

“Given the hotel’s unrivalled location and exceptional facilities, we anticipate strong interest and demand for Pullman Perth Airport from both business and leisure travellers alike,” he stated.

“Accor is the leading and largest operator of airport hotels in the Pacific region with 22 airport hotels and we are delighted to be adding Pullman Perth Airport to this collection.”

Pullman Perth Airport will be the fourth Pullman airport hotel in the Pacific and the third in Australia.

This week, the WA gateway reported a rise in (EBITDA) profit, from $404 million in FY23 to $421 million in FY24.

The airport also recently announced a $5 billion capital investment program, the largest ever private development in Perth.

“When Perth Airport grows and prospers, Western Australia grows and prospers,” Perth Airport CEO Jason Waters said.

“The coming five to 10 years will completely change the face of Perth Airport. We have already started this transformation with work commencing on our first multi-storey carpark and significant changes to our access road network.

“We expect the new parallel runway project to be the next cab off the rank. This additional capacity delivered by the new runway will underpin future growth in the tourism and aviation sector.”
