The historic Vietjet flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane landed on 16 June 2023, heralding the first direct services connecting Queensland and Vietnam and 50 years of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam.

The inaugural, nonstop Vietjet flight starts twice-weekly return flights between the two cities for direct connections between Queensland and Vietnam.

In its first operational year, the airline will offer more than 39,000 seats between Ho Chi Minh City and Brisbane.

The new service completes Vietjet’s network on Australia’s east coast with eight weekly return flights across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
