5 reasons TravelManagers will love this year's conference

It's that time of the year again, when hundreds of Personal Travel Managers from around the country gather in one location for the annual TravelManagers Conference.

It’s that time of the year again, when hundreds of Personal Travel Managers from around the country gather in one location for the annual TravelManagers Conference.

While some agents are still on a high from last year’s whirlwind three-day event in Singapore, this year the agency group is keeping things local and giving agents (and KarryOn) the chance to explore their very own backyard.

Kicking off on 28 August with the theme of ‘Focus’, consultants will spend the weekend learning how to stay on topic and eliminating time-consuming distractions that do not add value.

To help guide consultants over the weekend, the agency group has booked an impressive line-up of inspirational speakers and motivational presenters. They’ll also take part in a series of workshop sessions; and learning how to achieve even between work/life balance.

But that’s not all, check out these five other reasons why this year’s TravelManagers conference will be AMAZING:

1. The Cooking & Golf

If you’re among the agents heading to Adelaide a little early this year, then you may have registered yourself and your partner for a little competition TravelManagers golf game or better yet a cooking class.

The two events give agents a chance to bond early on Friday before the conference kicks off at 2.00pm.

2. The Socialising

On the topic of bonding – there’ll be no more hiding behind computer screens and phones, this year’s conference will see agents put away the tech to not only socialise with old friends and colleagues but meet those trusty suppliers.

Delegates will have plenty of opportunity to catch up with their colleagues in a less formal environment during the opening dinner at Adelaide’s amazing National Wine Centre.

The evening will have a ‘Taste of South Australia’ theme and will feature a number of local ‘tastes’.

On Saturday night, agents will enjoy a ‘Sporting Heroes and Legends’ dinner at the Adelaide Oval.

Adding a little ‘speed’ to this evening, TravelManagers even booked Adelaide-born racing car driver, Nick Percat, to attend the dinner.

3. The Inspiration

TravelManagers has booked a number of speakers for the weekend, including Teresa Boyce – a nutritionist who specialises in educating and motivating individuals and groups on managing stress and understanding the negative impact of ongoing stress.

During her talk, Teresa will discuss the benefits of exercise on the body, mind and productivity.

The conference will be opened by Matthew Michalewicz, a world-class entrepreneur who will be discussing the ‘Science of Success’ and ‘How to Improve Small Business Performance’.

To close the conference, participants will hear from Australian Olympic gold medallist, Alisa Camplin-Warner (OAM), whose has proven her ability to overcome physical, mental and emotional challenges in order to achieve sporting and professional success.

4. The Information

community

As well as attending workshops and hearing from industry leaders, PTMs will have plenty of opportunity to pick up useful information from their colleagues during the aptly-titled “Secrets of my success” sessions.

Sharing experience and knowledge allows agents to learn from one another and deliver better service to their clients.

5. The Glamour

Red Carpet

As with every TravelManagers conference, the event will close on a high with a gala awards dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Personal Travel Managers will put on their best dresses and suits to see the company’s top-performing and most improved PTMs recognised for their efforts in the preceding year.

That, and everyone will drink… a lot. 🙂
