Booking Boss is taking its software solution to the other side of the world – Europe – after securing around $2 million in expansion financing.

The announcement comes three years after launching in Australia with a product that offers activities and tour operators an effective and profit-making administration and processing solution.

Speaking to KarryOn, Booking Boss CEO Renee Welsh said since launching in 2012, the company has welcomed steady growth, and even saw 2014 revenue increase by 45 percent compared to the prior year.

She said the company relies on word-of-mouth- for new bookings, with little finances set aside for marketing and promotions.

But word didn’t just get around Australia, it managed to travel all the way over to Europe.

Welsh said over the last year, the company has seen significant organic growth in interest from European activity and tour operators, particularly those from Paris, Germany and Spain.

Having only confirmed $2 million startup financing yesterday, Welsh said the company has already signed up a few European sightseeing tour operators, zoos and wildlife parks, museums and cooking schools providers.

Among the biggest of the new clients is ParisTrip – Paris’ leading tour operator. The company is scheduled to go live with the Booking Boss solution in July this year.

Although the company’s European operations will operate out of its Sydney base, Welsh expects to see significant growth, particularly from Europe, within the next 12 months.

“We’re excited about the quality of customers that are seeking us out with next to no marketing.”

“We’ve had a lot of significant organic growth and a lot of organic enquiries from Europe so it made sense for us to grow in Europe.

“And we’ve already got customers acting as referrals in Europe.”

While Booking Boss is still focused on its European launch, Welsh hinted that the next stop for the company could be the USA.

She said the company is seeing a lot of interest in the USA market along with organic enquiries from New Zealand.
