Yes, you read correctly – Excite Holidays won an award for the way it cares for its employees.
The award for ‘Outstanding Employer of Choice’ was handed to the online wholesaler at the 2018 NSW Business Chamber State Business Awards this week in front of some 920 attendees.
Excite Holidays received the award for the various strategies and initiatives implemnted over the last year to stimulate and support its staff members.
Among the wholesaler’s wellbeing programs include the ‘R U OK? Day’ morning tea, which encouraged team members to hold meaningful conversations. There was also the company’s health and wellbeing program, workplace giving program and use of technology to revolutionise the employee experience.
Excite Holidays’ Head of Human Resources, Ashleigh Carr, believes the company’s win came out of its commitment to developing, investing and giving back to its people through a “fun and unique culture”.
