Young travellers face a number of obstacles when it comes to booking a holiday, from study timetables to shift work and the inability to risk spending money without guaranteeing that they can take the holiday.
Knowing this, young tour operator, Contiki, has announced a new Freedom Guarantee, which will give 18-35 year olds the flexibility to book a trip with zero change fees and FlexDeposits.
Effective immediately, Contiki is offering its guests the freedom to change their chosen trip, departure date, or even the region in which they want to travel with no fees to worry about – at all.
It gets better. If the price of the new trip is less than the one previously booked, then Contiki will refund the difference – no questions asked.
Of course, this also means that if the new trip is pricier than the last, travellers will have to pay the difference owed.
And then there’s the FlexDeposit, which allows young holidaymakers to put a deposit down on any Contiki trip and then use it as credit towards a future Contiki adventure, should they choose to change their plans.
So essentially, it’s like putting the money in a separate bank account except you can only use it to purchase a future Contiki holiday.
If for any reason a passenger is unable to redeem their FlexDeposit they also have the option to gift it to a friend within five years of the original booking date.
The FlexDeposit remains available to redeem on any Contiki trip until the passenger’s 36th birthday. After that it can be used on one of Contiki’s sister brands.
