EXCLUSIVE with Inspiring Journeys: Why Agents should focus on selling the Northern Territory

Agents wanting to entice their clients to book a local holiday may want to start by tapping into their desire to visit the cultural centre of Australia, the Northern Territory.

Agents wanting to entice their clients to book a local holiday may want to start by tapping into their desire to visit the cultural centre of Australia, the Northern Territory.

The Northern Territory is one destination in Australia that locals hold a secret desire to visit, according to domestic specialists, Inspiring Journeys and AAT Kings, that say it’s consistently popular among Aussies.

Hans Belle, Managing Director of the two brands, explained to KARRYON that the Northern Territory’ popularity emerged from its reputation as being “such a unique part of the world”.

He said along with the Top End, Tasmania is very much trending at the moment, which is why Inspiring Journeys has new itineraries to each in the brand’s new 2019/20 brochure.

In Kakadu, travellers can spend 10 days exploring ancient gorges, spectacular wetlands and wildlife before flying over the Red Centre during the new  Ultimate Territory Adventure in Style itinerary. Down south, the new seven-day Tasmania’s Footsteps and Trails takes travellers to Hobart’s Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), Bruny Island, Wineglass Bay and through an Indigenous two-day guided walk around the Bay of Fires and Mt. William areas.

Also new in 2019/20 is the eight-day Uncharted Coast trip through Southern Queensland where travellers stop by the ever popular Byron Bay and Noosa along with visits to Spicers Hidden Vale, while over on the west there’s a new seven-day journey from the vineyards of Margaret River to Rottnest Island, Perth and Fremantle.

Across the Tasman, Inspiring Journeys will travel to Hawke’s Bay for the first time during its The Endless Shores and The Long White Cloud itineraries. Guests will take part in wine-tasting at some of New Zealand’s oldest wineries and take a tour of Napier’s Art Deco architecture.
