FLIGHT CENTRE provides free interpreter service for hard of hearing travellers

Flight Centre is making it easier for South Australia's Deaf Community to research and book travel through a Travel Agent by providing a free interpreter service.

Flight Centre is making it easier for South Australia’s Deaf Community to research and book travel through a Travel Agent by providing a free interpreter service.

The announcement was made this week alongside South Australia’s society, Deaf CanDo to celebrate Australia’s National Week of Deaf People.

Commencing 6 October 2018, Flight Centre in Rundle Mall will have a free interpreter available to help translate destination ideas, flight requests and any travel-related content for hard of hearing travellers.

The service will be available on the first Saturday of each month between 10.00-12pm.

News of the new aid was well received by Deaf CanDo’s Facebook followers who described it as a “brilliant idea” that’ll make it “a lot easier for deaf people”.
