helloworld bounces around with the NBL

Families, teens and basketball fans around Australia will have plenty of opportunity to get to know the helloworld brand this season.

Families, teens and basketball fans around Australia will have plenty of opportunity to get to know the helloworld brand this season.

The agency group today announced a new partnership with the National Basketball League (NBL) to be the Official Travel Partner during the 2015/16 NBL season, which kicked off earlier this month.

helloworld is the second travel organisation to link itself to the sport, following United Airlines which has sponsored the Sydney Kings for several seasons.

Dubbing basketball as ‘one of the most highly participated sports played by young Australians’, helloworld said the NBL has the ideal demographic that fits its brand and agents nationwide.

“The partnership is a great way to profile the helloworld brand and our agents across the country and connect with a demographic of young professionals and families who love to travel.”

Elizabeth Gaines, helloworld Chief Executive Officer

“We look forward to helping NBL players and fans create the best travel experience whether that be interstate to see their favourite teams play, or overseas to watch international basketball stars.”

As part of the partnership, helloworld expects to gain exposure to the NBL’s fan base country-wide.

Fans will also have access to convenient travel bookings either via the helloworld website or the NBL homepage.

NBL Executive Director Larry Kestelman said the NBL has ‘enormous popularity’ across all genders and cultures, making it the ideal sport to promote the helloworld brand.

“helloworld’s global reach supports our international strategy and their seamless online experience allows our fans to easily book travel directly from the NBL website.”
