HO CHI MINH GATHERING: The biggest travel event in Vietnam is back

Thousands of visitors will arrive in Vietnam's largest city next month for the country's top tourism event, The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC). Both local and international industry players will be there to showcase their best tourism products and services.

Thousands of visitors will arrive in Vietnam’s largest city next month for the country’s top tourism event, The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC). Both local and international industry players will be there to showcase their best tourism products and services.

The show will see more 300 companies and brands showing off their latest and greatest offerigs at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center from September 6 to 8.

Established in 2005, the event is a prime platform for sourcing for quality agents and distributors and expanding business into Vietnam and the Mekong sub-region.

ITE HCMC is known as the most important international tourism event in Vietnam, and the largest event of its kind in the Mekong subregion for both inbound and outbound markets.

Last year’s event saw more than 30,0000 trade and public visitors attend, and similar numbers are expected this year.

Attendees can expect to build contacts, foster new relationships, and discover new business leads through activities and networking opportunities like the glitzy Grand Opening Ceremony and Gala Dinner, exclusive buyer-seller meetings and business matching and online pre-appointments.

There will also be seminars on key tourist markets and other tourism related topics.

Confirmed participants include the Department of Tourism for several Vietnamese provinces, as well as various National Tourism Organisations and Tourism Promotion Organisations from top travel destinations in Asia.

This year 17 countries and territories will be represented including Cambodia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Netherlands, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates.

32 Vietnam provinces will be on display, cementing its status as one of the fastest growing international tourism trade events in the region.

Organised by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, VINEXAD Trade Fair and Advertising JSC, and Informa Exhibitions, the exhibition is the only travel event endorsed by the Tourism Alliance of all five countries in the Mekong sub-region.
