It may not be the most popular Central American destination for Aussies yet, but it’s sure to get a good push in the market now that Luxury Gold Vacations has added it to the portfolio.

Insight Vacations’ sister-brand is taking its ‘journey beyond the ordinary’ style to Costa Rica next year and adding to its existing South American options, which currently include Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru.

Although itineraries are yet to appear online, travellers have been told they can expect the same “exceptional style and service” dispersed among existing trips with memorable dining and boutique accommodation, including a stay in eco-luxury within the El Silencio Lodge & Spa’s private, 500-acre cloud forest reserve.Costa Rica Lodge 2

Meanwhile, after a decade with Insight Vacations, David Farrar has come on board to help Luxury Gold with its continued growth as the new Sales Director.

Alexandra O’Connor, Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold’s Managing Director, said she is “delighted to have someone of David’s calibre” on board to provide “even more support to our valued agency partners”.

“It’s an honour to be part of the growth story of Luxury Gold,” David said. “I’m excited about working with our agency partners to introduce many more Australian guests to this world class collection.”

Farrar will commence his new role on 3 July.

Costa Rica is still relatively new to the Australian market, but past visitors have described it as a “peaceful” and “beautiful” country with friendly locals, adorable wildlife and eco-friendly.
