A TV show, a government contract, the purchase of Asia Escape Holidays and Magellan Travel Group, a rise in profits and new partnerships – it’s been a crazy 2018 for Helloworld Travel.

But before the year could come to an end, Helloworld Travel Limited decided to squeeze in one last major business move – the acquisition of a film and entertainment travel management company from the Avis Budget Group Inc.

The travel group announced this morning that it had acquired the business of Show Group Enterprises, a company that manages travel for entertainment, film, arts, fashion, corporate and sporting industries.

As part of the purchase, Helloworld Travel Limited took control of the company’s brands such as Show Sport, Show Corporate, Show Travel, Show Film, Show Event, Show Fashion, Show Leisure and Show Freight.

Helloworld Travel Limited’ Chief Executive and Managing Director said the purchase will allow the group to expand its expertise.

Andrew Burnes, Helloworld Travel Limited Chief Executive & Managing Director

“With over 30 years’ experience, Show Group is a highly respected leading business in its field and will continue to provide outstanding services to their many clients across the events, arts, television, movie, sport and corporate sectors in Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
