He’s been named one of Australia’s best travel agents for corporate at the NTIA 2015 awards night, not once but twice and we’re certain he’s aiming for a third in 2016.

TravelManagers’ Ric Pattaro the representative for Haberfield, NSW took out the award for ‘Best Travel Consultant – Corporate’ at this year’s awards for the second consecutive year.

Accepting the award in front of hundreds of his peers over the weekend, Pattaro says success took hard work and commitment to not only becoming the best but growing the business from practically nothing.

Why do you think you’ve won this award twice?

PTM at NTIA

I have always believed in taking ownership of my clients’ travel arrangements as though they were my own.

Being accessible for my clients at any time of the day or night and providing personal attention to every detail has enabled me to build a strong client base.

This award is great recognition that I’m doing it right, but even without the awards, I wouldn’t run my business any other way.

Why do you think you were able to win for a second time?

TravelManager 2

I think I’ve done this through demonstrating my consistency in the service I provide my customers.

What are you doing differently from other agents?

TravelManagers 3 at NTIA

I put myself in the shoes of the traveller, I listen to their requirements and provide them with expert advice and a high standard of service.

What would you recommend other agents focus more on?

Connect with your clients, create the relationship and demonstrate the care factor.

Are you seeing any trends in corporate bookings?

Lead time for corporate bookings are becoming  shorter and therefore you need to act quickly in putting together what clients require.
