Things are beginning to change over at helloworld, with the first senior departure announced since the arrival of the travel group’s new boss, Andrew Burnes.
Jenny Macdonald, helloworld Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, will be leaving the business at the end of April after submitting her resignation last week.
Macdonald will stay on for the next two months to oversee the implementation of helloworld’s recently approved merger with AOT Group Limited.
In a statement, the outgoing Financial leader said she’s enjoyed her time as CFO and found the role to be “immensely rewarding”.
“It has been immensely rewarding from the onset and more recently working closely with Andrew Burnes, Chief Executive Officer, and the AOT transition team to ensure a smooth transition.”

Burnes said the company has a “debt of gratitude to Jenny” for her outstanding work and assured that her decision to seek other opportunities “is Jenny’s and Jenny’s alone’.
“It has been a delight to work with Jenny over the past few months through the transition period.”

Helloworld has commenced searching for a suitable replacement and expects an announcement to be made shortly.
Meanwhile according to reports, Chief Marketing Officer, Kim Portrate, departed the business on Friday with a marketing review now in place. Helloworld is expected to confirm the news this week.
