The Independent Travel Group Business Forum has just wrapped up in Singapore with a major announcement from CEO Tom Manwaring on its new “Book Safe” Agency Insurance grabbing the headlines.
Manwaring said “the new policy was vital to reinforce the strength and safety of the company’s brands in the eyes of consumers – particularly in the light of several recent agency collapses.
All italktravel franchise stores will automatically qualify for the cover as part of its franchise agreement giving passengers coverage for Airline, Preferred Supplier and Agency insolvency, reinforcing the strength and safety of the brand in the eyes of the consumer with the introduction of the “Book Safe Agent” sign in-store.
Independent Travel Group Members can opt in for the annual policy in order to display the prominent “Book Safe Agent” Logo (attached) and be recognised as premium agents within the network. The insurance and new ITG Branding (Logo Attached) will go hand in hand as support branding for these agents.
The Book Safe initiative serves as just one of many major developments for Australia’s Largest Group of Independent Agents being released at this year’s Business Forum. Others include “Express Performance” – a system featuring product sales reporting and business management tools, the new “Express Wiki” centralised knowledge base and a training certification program via “Express Academy” plus enhanced Marketing capabilities across the network.
