The travel industry spent three weeks casting some 3,200 votes (wow) to narrow down their favourites across 38 award categories and now the finalists for this year’s 2017 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) have been revealed.
Qantas will battle it out with Virgin Australia and Jetstar for the title of Best Domestic Airline, while Flight Centre, Helloworld Travel and Travellers Choice hope to be named Best Travel Agency Group (50 outlets or more).
Giselle Pennington from Spencer Travel Southside NSW, Jake Hodges from Flight Centre Cardiff NSW, James Jang from Where2travel NSW, Jo Kennedy from Kennedy & Turner Travel Associates QLD and Lena Nielson from Flight Centre Sydney International Airport are all vying to be crowned Best Travel Consultant – Retail.
And newbies Courtney Ashes from helloworld Lane Cove NSW, Jemma Longley from Flight Centre Wagga Wagga NSW, Klara Illuzzi from Flight Centre Woollahra NSW, Megan Laureau from helloworld Toowoomba city QLD and Millicent Rusby Carlson Wagonlit Travel SA are hoping to receive the award for Young Agent of the Year.

Finalists will deliver presentations to the NTIA Judging panel – at Qantas Headquarters in Mascot, Sydney between Tuesday 30 May – Wednesday 7 June 2017.
