Three Western Australia-based Travel Agents have put aside their rivalry and come together to cut operational costs and boost each others businesses.
Carol Shaw from Tour de Force Travel; Jan Welch of Sorrento Quay Travel; and Sue Holmes from Carine Travel Bug have announced they’re moving into a shared premises in order to save a little money on rental.
Commencing 4 July this year, the trio will share an office in the Perth suburb of Duncraig.
Each agent will continue to function as a separate entity, with their own clients and individual operations. However, they’ll share an office and office administration.
In addition to the single base, the trio have also created a new brand, Elite Travel Group, to use in joint local marketing initiatives, such as product evenings.
According to their first joint press release, the initiative will allow the ladies to “dramatically reduce overheads”, which could in turn lead to more competitive pricing and further opportunities to seize new sales.
“This new operating model will allow them to share costs, resources and experience, and ultimately enable the principals to more-effectively focus on their core business of selling travel and providing superior customer service to their strong and well-established customer bases.”

The new premises will officially open on 4 July 2016 at Carine Quarter Unit 4/473 Beach Road Duncraig, corner of Beach Road and Davallia Road.
